All
members and their guests are expected to maintain a certain standard
of decorum at all times during their stay at The Club, and to
conduct themselves with courtesy and consideration to the Club
Staff and others in residence.
They
should be adequately and appropriately attired at all times in
all areas of the Club House, viz., the Dining Room, Verandah,
Frere Hall & Library.
Members
are personally responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their
guests, even if the guests are not accompanied by the member introducing
them.
Cell
Phones
The use of mobile phones in any part of the Club House is strictly
prohibited. If carried into the Club House, mobile phones must
be switched off or in the silent mode.
Dress
Code
Sports attire (shorts, track-suits, pedal-pushers) is expressly
prohibited in the Dining Room at Lunch and Dinner,
but may be worn at Breakfast.
The
following apparel and footwear are expressly prohibited in the
Club House at all times:
Gentlemen:
The Club Secretary is authorised to request members or guests
not conforming to the dress code or conducting themselves in a
manner unbefitting of the Club's standards of decorum to leave
the Club House areas. The Secretary's decision in this regard
is final. The Secretary of the Club is also authorised to request
a member or guest to switch off a mobile phone if used in any
part of the Club House.
Check
out and Settlement of Dues
Please
note that the check-out time is 9:00 am which must be adhered
to, for convenience of incoming guests. The Club staff needs at
least two hours to prepare rooms for new guests, and since most
guests arrive by lunch, the 9:00 am check-out is mandatory.
Please
also note that all bills must now be settled by cash or cheque
(Bombay cheques are accepted) at the time of check out.
